Approach and Pipeline

Systems biology analysis and modeling requires extensive computational capabilities for a multitude of data processing, analysis, and modeling tasks. The pipeline (showing in the figure below) consists of an integrated set of custom developed software tools having an assortment of advanced computational capabilities and relational database storage. The computational pipeline provides efficient access to and visualization of related data at various stages of the analysis/modeling process. This approach was designed to support the systems biology cycle which involves the iterative process of experiment-modeling-refinement as depicted in figure below. Embodied in this cycle are the main steps shown in the figure which begins from an experimental hypothesis. The pipeline provides for all the necessary data management and computational steps in a nearly seamless data workflow enabling high throughput data analysis/modeling.
