Terms of use.
The rules for using this website, in plain language. Study Manager itself is covered by the agreement with each customer.
Effective 19 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website, seralogix.com, which is run by Seralogix, LLC, of Austin, Texas (“Seralogix,” “we”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
They cover the website only. Study Manager, and any founding-site partnership, are governed by a separate written agreement with each customer or site, which takes precedence over anything on this site.
What the site is for
The site describes Study Manager and the research problem it addresses. It is general information. It is not scientific, statistical, veterinary, legal or regulatory advice, and it does not replace the judgement of your study director, statistician, animal care and use committee or quality assurance unit.
Statements about what Study Manager does are tied to dated entries in our capability ledger and describe the product on those dates. The product changes; a statement here is not a promise that a capability exists in a particular version, or that it will. What we commit to is set out in the agreement with each customer.
Nothing on the site is an offer to sell. Pricing, availability and terms are agreed in writing with each site.
What you send us
When you use the contact form or the founding-site application:
- Send only information you are entitled to share, and that is accurate as far as you know.
- Please do not send confidential or unpublished study data, protocols or other proprietary material through the forms. Describe the study in general terms; if we take things further, we agree how confidential material is handled before you share it.
- Applying to be a founding site does not create an agreement or an obligation on either side. A partnership begins only when we both sign one.
- If you send us ideas or suggestions about Study Manager, we may use them without owing you anything, unless an agreement between us says otherwise.
How we handle what you send is described in our privacy policy.
Using the site fairly
Please do not:
- try to get into parts of the site, or the systems behind it, that are not meant to be public;
- test the site for vulnerabilities without our written permission (if you find a security problem, tell us through the contact page and we will work with you);
- send automated, bulk or misleading submissions through the forms, or use them to send anything unlawful, harmful or not your own;
- use the site in a way that disrupts it for others.
Our content
The text, graphics, screenshots and design of the site belong to Seralogix or are used with permission. Seralogix and Study Manager are our names and marks.
You are welcome to link to the site and to quote short passages with attribution and a link back. Please ask us before reproducing larger parts of it, or using our names or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
The research we summarise belongs to its authors and publishers; our pages cite and link to the sources.
Links to other sites
The site links to sources such as funders, regulators and journals. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
No warranty
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Seralogix is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim about the website is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the website will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. We would rather you tell us first, through the contact page, so we can try to put it right.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version on the site at the time you use it is the one that applies.
